Companies face serious challenges due to the Corona crisis. This also affects the organization of working time. In addition to short-time work or home office, some companies have switched their operations to shift work in order to comply with imposed distance regulations and limit encounters between colleagues. To ensure that information is passed on seamlessly between the various shift workers, companies use shift handover protocols.
Multimedia information transfer made easy
Shift handover protocols are an important factor for a successful handover. Whether complaints, malfunctions, material flow, safety-relevant aspects, maintenance and servicing instructions or other unusual situations: The shift handover protocol is an important instrument. Often, the various control points are checked in a print-document by hand. At the end of the shift, the responsible shift supervisor or employee passes this document on. These static protocols are usually difficult to read, incomplete or lacking comprehensibility.
Digital shift handover – contactless and multimedia
Digital shift handover protocols open up completely new possibilities for information transfer, especially through functions such as text, image and video feedback and the assignment of activities via the Task Manager. Difficulties like poor legibility or ambiguities regarding open tasks are completely eliminated. Shift supervisors not only create and edit the protocols, but are guided through the intuitive documentation, which is enriched with multimedia elements illustrating conditions and events in the respective shift. If required, the shift handover can be done digitally only. Personal meetings or joint tours to discuss and lay out all topics are no longer necessary.
